Manifesto – Academic Committee
Yatri Vora – 202618012
M.Sc. Data Science
Hello everyone, I am Yatri Vora from the M.Sc. Data Science 2026 batch, contesting for the Academic Committee.
Why I want to be part of this committee?
Academics affects every student directly, and I want to be the person who follows up when something isn't working - an elective clash, a registration issue, or an unclear rule - instead of letting it sit unresolved.
Why I'm fit?
During my bachelor's, I was President of the Innovation Committee, coordinating a team of 30–35 students, and earlier worked in its communications team. I have also been a class representative and part of my college fest's organising committee. These roles taught me how to collect feedback from a large group and follow up with faculty and administration until something actually moves.
What I will work on?
• Electives and registration: clear information on course content, instructors, and how priority-based registration and add-drop work.
• A working feedback loop: collect batch concerns in one place, escalate them formally, and report back what happened -including when the answer is no.
• Timetable and exams: raise lecture/lab clashes and exam-day issues early, with practical suggestions.
• Beyond academics: push for clearer incentives for hackathons, open-source work, and research projects.
This role isn't about titles for me - it's about making sure your voice actually reaches the people who can act on it. I may not get everything right, but I promise to listen, stay approachable, and keep working at it. Thank you for your support.
