MANIFESTO FOR STUDENT PLACEMENT CELL

Kaushal Trada | 202618001 | M.Sc. Data Science

I, Kaushal Trada, student ID 202618001, am pursuing M.Sc. Data Science after completing my B.Sc. in Mathematics from MSU Baroda. Having actively managed academic and college events, I have developed strong adaptability and transparent communication skills. To me, leadership in the SPC means being an approachable, steady point of contact who ensures no student faces avoidable confusion, delays, or communication gaps during drives.

Key Initiatives and Proposals

  • Direct Batch and SPC Updates: Sharing verified drive updates quickly and directly raising batch questions or issues to the placement cell.

  • Batch Skills Mapping and Outreach: Collecting our batch skills, domains, and project profiles while researching active HR contacts so the Placement cell can target matching companies.

  • Proposal for a Past Company Database: Urging the SPC to curate and share historical campus drive details , including standard CTC structures, bond terms, and verified JDs—so students can plan their preparation effectively.

  • Student Protection Policy: Proposing a formal safeguard allowing candidates to decline an offer without penalty or debarment if a visiting firm materially reduces promised CTC, alters the job role, or introduces undisclosed bond terms post-registration or selection .

Pledges

  • Clear and Open Representation: I will share timely, verified updates at every stage of the drive, listen actively to your concerns, and address issues head on without delay.

  • Equal Opportunity and Integrity: I will uphold complete fairness in the placement process , standing firmly against bias, malpractice, or special favors, regardless of personal ties or friendships.

  • Batch Preparation Support: I will support my batchmates in placement preparation by sharing resources and guidance whenever possible.
