Introduction:

Sports play a crucial role in building discipline, teamwork, and a vibrant college environment. My goal is to make sports more inclusive, well-organized, and active throughout the year.

Current Issues:

•         Lower participation of girls in sports activities.
•         Gym overcrowding and the need for renovation and better facility management.
•         Athletics at DAU is still under development with limited participation and structure.
•         Limited sports engagement during the Autumn semester.
•         The sports social media presence does not seem up to the mark.

Proposed Initiatives:

•         Increase Female Participation: Encourage involvement and a more inclusive environment.
•         Gym Improvements: Work towards renovation and better equipment management.
•         Work towards introducing floodlights in the main ground (similar to existing practice nets) and maintenance of cricket ground.
•         Athletics Development: Start with regular practice sessions and basic event structuring (sprints, relays, etc.), followed by gradual inter-college exposure.
•         Social Media: Maintain a consistent posting system and structured page to make the page informative and engaging for students and outsiders.
•         Inclusive Opportunities: Create platforms for beginners and non-team players to actively participate.
