Synapse Volunteer: Managed Prom Night and basketball court decor; handled heavy crowd control and guest management during peak hours.
Concours (Sports Fest): Worked in PR to build external networks, handle outreach, and maintain our energetic image off-campus.
School Level: Managed multiple events, developing quick-thinking and team leadership under pressure.
Artist Reliability: Protect our Pro-Night by adding a strict "replacement clause" in vendor contracts early on. We will also run a Student Poll from a list of available artists to match the crowd's expectations.
Technical Infrastructure: Strictly rent professional-grade audio equipment and mics. Flawless sound is the foundation of a great fest.
Empowering PR Teams: Introduce mandatory PR Orientations & Demos so our volunteers have a unified, confident pitch before approaching other colleges or sponsors.
In-House Campus Design: Instead of outsourcing, assign major design portfolios to our own creative students, rewarding them with exclusive fest perks.
Bridging the Information Gap: Establish a transparent update system so the student body is always informed about finalized events and schedules.
Engaging Micro-Events: Introduce fresh crowd activities like Rapid Dating to keep campus buzzing.
Hackathon Value-Add: Partner with alumni and tech companies to offer internships to winners, adding long-term value.
Expanding Youthrun: Collaborate with local NGOs to elevate Youthrun into a city-wide movement.
Buffer Timetable: Release a final schedule with built-in buffer times to prevent event overlaps.
I’ve proudly done the heavy lifting—from late-night decorations to PR outreach. I want to use my grassroots experience to build stronger, more resilient systems for our next festival, ensuring we support our volunteers and deliver an unforgettable experience.
