My vision is rooted in actionable results, transparency, and amplifying your voices.
During my time in the Academic Committee, I have consistently worked to improve our student experience. My previous work includes:
MOOC Integration: Successfully helped offer MOOC courses for ICT students for the first time in our institute's history.
Grading Transparency: Collaborated with the committee to advocate for a clear, transparent grading policy and standardized evaluation criteria across all courses.
Timetable Optimization: Resolved issues with proposed schedules and helped formulate lab timetables for both the Autumn and Winter semesters.
Curriculum Review: Pushed for student involvement in drafting the new curriculum by studying peer institute policies and consulting alumni and organizing sessions involving the entire batch.
Building on this foundation, I have clear, achievable goals for the upcoming term. My new proposals are:
Increase in Seat Capping: With the increase in number of students in new batches, there is severe shortage of seats in electives especially in the Autumn Semesters. Hence the requirement of the increment.
Standardized Relative Grading: Implementing a uniform relative grading policy for all core courses across the institute.
Enhanced Feedback Loops: Establishing a robust, two-way feedback system involving both students and professors to ensure continuous academic improvement.
I am committed to building a more vibrant, inclusive, and supportive campus environment.
